How To Increase Your Yuwie Earnings

Would you like to find a way to earn more from Yuwie? If you're like most people, (me included!) earnings of about 5 cents per thousand page views just doesn't sound very exciting.

Let's face it, it's nice that Yuwie is paying their members back a little bit for using the site, but it's not exactly money you can live off of. So most people eventually turn to other things to supplement the earnings generated just from Yuwie alone.

One of the things most people seem to be adding to their Yuwie income lately is the "pay per play" audio ads. You've probably even heard of these already. They're the short little 5 second ad snippets that play as soon as your page is loaded - but only once per page load, so as not to offend your visitors.

If you haven't heard of this before...you will soon. It's definitely for real if a little publication like The Wall Street Journal has even mentioned it in a recent article. (See: Wall Street Journal Article)

Much like the pay per CLICK ads you see all over the internet which pay you each time someone clicks on them, these audio ads earn you a little bit every time they're played by your site.

In other words, every time your page is loaded you earn a little more - even if nobody ever clicks on a thing. So you might say your readers are hearing the audio ads, but YOU'RE hearing "KA CHING!!!" :)

Be advised that we're talking about something that's extremely new here though, so the details are still a little sketchy. The whole system doesn't even go online for ads to start being played until some time in February 2008, but you don't need to wait until then to sign up for it. In fact, the sooner you register with them the better, since they're offering the incentive of being able to also earn from referrals you give them for a limited time as well.

Here's the website where you can read all the details and decide for yourself if it's something you'd like to try:

The way I look at it, it's totally free to join, (like Yuwie) so it's certainly worth taking a look at. But if it turns out to be as good as it sounds there probably won't be many web sites that don't have these ads playing on them in the near future. (Personally, I know I've got my own set up and ready to play!)

I should explain, though, that it now looks like Yuwie itself doesn't actually allow the code to be placed on their profiles anywhere, since they already use some types of audio advertising themselves. However, you can still write blogs on Yuwie that refer readers to other pages you may have on other sites that you can have the ads on. So you could soon be earning another $4 or $5 (that's DOLLARS - not cents!) per thousand page views from all of your other MySpace, Facebook or whatever social network sites you're into, and even your free blogs - as long as they allow it and it's not against their terms of service.

Who knows for sure how well this idea will work in the long run, but so far I'd have to say it sounds like a pretty good idea for website owners of all kinds.
